The Walton County School District is rated above average according to Niche, and is rated the 4th safest district in the state. It offers A-rated elementary, middle, and high schools as well as some B+ rated schools.
The housing market in Walton County has been doing very well in recent years. As more people move to Florida, many people are looking for a place to stay without the chaotic city life. Walton County offers just that.
The median sold price in the county is currently $624,491, according to Rocket Homes. Though, there are certainly plenty of houses for less than that. The real estate in this area has been steadily rising in value for quite some time now — as it’s a wonderful place to live.
That being said, 46.8% of houses here sold for below the asking price in late Summer 2022 — so you might be able to get a good deal on a home if you take your time.
